Here you can find out about the range of daycare facilities, register for available slots at these facilities or notify the relevant facility of any changes in the personal circumstances of the parents and/or children.

LITTLE Bird GmbH, Fredersdorfer Straße 10, 10243 Berlin is responsible for overseeing this internet platform.

The site operator, LITTLE BIRD GmbH, places the highest priority on protecting your private and personal data. When the data you input are transmitted, their security is ensured through the use of the SSL (secure sockets layer) protocol. This encrypts your confidential data before they are sent.

It is important to us that you are always aware of any instances when we store data, which data we store and how we use them.

1.1 Personal data

Personal data are details relating to the personal or material circumstances of a specific or identifiable living person. Personal data can be broken down into inventory data and usage data.

Inventory data are personal data required for establishing, developing the content of or amending a contractual relationship between the service provider and the user regarding the use of telemedia. These include in particular your full name, your date of birth and your full address.

 

Usage data are personal data required to enable and bill for the use of telemedia, in particular criteria that will identify the user, information about the start, finish and scope of each use, and information about the telemedia used.

When we use the term "personal data", this involves data which can be explicitly used to establish your identity. This includes data such as your real name, address and postal address.

Data that are not directly linked to your real identity, e.g. favorite websites or number of users of a site, are not included here.

1.2 Collection and usage of your personal data

We ask you for your first name, last name and other personal data when you register for one of our personalized services, e.g. the newsletter.

We also ask for personal data when you use the following online services:

• Making contact with childcare providers,

• Participation in the registration process for a childcare facility,

• Managing changes with childcare providers,

• Log-in data,

• Temporarily store data on your service usage, and

• Evaluation procedures.

 

These data are stored on a specially secured server in Germany with the provider "regio iT" (regio iT gesellschaft für Informationstechnologie mbh, Lombardenstraße 24, 52070 Aachen). The following have access to this server:

• Employees of regio iT,

• Employees of the City of Friedrichshafen, Department for Education, Family and Sport, Daycare Section,

• Employees of those bodies responsible for childcare facilities in Friedrichshafen and

• Management personnel with daycare facilities in Friedrichshafen

 

These data are not combined with other data sources. Disclosure of your personal data to third parties for promotional purposes etc. is not permitted. The number of employees who have access to data is kept to the minimum necessary. These employees are obligated in writing to comply with data protection provisions.

Your personal data is only collected and used if you expressly agree to the collection and processing of the data. Your personal data is only used for the purpose for which it was collected.

 

Data is only collected if it is required to fulfil the functions in accordance with Volume Eight of the German Social Code (SGB VIII) and the Baden-Württemberg Daycare Act (KiTaG).

Only the abbreviated IP address, together with other anonymous data, is passed on to Google Inc. for statistical analysis and evaluation by Google Analytics (see also point 1.5 Cookies).

 

All data is saved in encrypted form (see point 2. Data security).

1.3 Usage and disclosure of your personal data

We only use your personal data in the following ways:

• Making contact with childcare providers,

• Participation in the registration process for a childcare facility,

• Managing changes with the childcare providers,

• Log-in data,

• Temporarily storing data on your service usage,

• Evaluation procedures

 

or when subscribing to the LITTLE Bird GmbH newsletter. Your data will be passed on to the places named in point 1.2 only if you have given your express consent. Your data will not be passed on to third parties or evaluated in other ways unless there is a legal requirement to do so.

1.4 Automatic usage data

Each time you access the website www.kindergarten.friedrichhafen.de and each time you retrieve a file, general data are stored automatically in a log file as part of this procedure. The IP address is a personal attribute and is stored for seven days in the log file in accordance with current jurisprudence. After seven days the entries are automatically anonymized by irreversibly changing the IP addresses (hashing).

The data are stored only for system-related and statistical purposes and to ensure data security, so that, for example, fraudulent attempts to access data can be traced. Beyond this, your data will not be disclosed to third parties or evaluated in other ways unless there is a legal requirement to do so.

In particular, the following data will be stored each time you access the site:

• Within the first seven days, the full IP address of the retrieving client,

• After seven days, the anonymized (hashed) IP address of the retrieving client,

• Name of the retrieved data,

• Server time of retrieval,

• Notification as to whether retrieval was successful,

• The previously visited page (referrer URL),

• Description of the type of web browser used,

• Operating system used and

• Search terms with date and time.

 

The data are stored on a server at regio IT. These data are not combined with other data sources unless there is a legal requirement to do so. We would like to expressly point out that when you visit the web pages no software (e.g. spyware, hidden identifiers, web bugs) is used to create user profiles without the user's knowledge or to provide access to particular information. The only exception to this is the use of "cookies" for web analysis and web statistics (see below under point 1.5).

 

Place of storage

The data collected from the browser are stored on a server belonging to the provider we have contracted, regio IT. Cookies are stored in the internet user's browser.

Access

Selected employees of regio IT and Little Bird GmbH who are responsible for the operation and monitoring of the website have access to the web application server. These employees are obligated in writing to comply with data confidentiality in accordance with Section 5 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

1.5 Cookies

We also use "cookies" in some parts of our website. These files can identify your computer as a separate technical entity when you access www.kindergarten.friedrichshafen.de and are employed to better facilitate your use of our services – including return visits to the site. Despite careful monitoring of content, we accept no liability for the content of external links. The operators of the linked sites are solely responsible for their content. This applies in particular to the linked websites of the daycare facilities you can access via the search function at www.kindergarten.friedrichshafen.de.

1.8 No liability for partner websites

Please note that other websites and services which can be accessed via our website have their own data protection guidelines which are separate from those of the City of Friedrichshafen. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for guidelines and procedures not associated with those of the City of Friedrichshafen, or for content of any kind displayed on these websites.

1.9 Rights of concerned parties/Right of refusal

 

 

Under the Data Protection Act of the State of Baden-Württemberg, you, as user, can at any time request or inspect information about stored personal data relating to you. If any data are incorrect, you can request that they be corrected appropriately.

You can revoke your consent to the collection and storage of your personal data at any time. If a declaration of consent to the use of your data was not provided or if it is revoked, the data will not be used. In this case, due to the complexity of the search request you will be unable to use the online services offered to search for available childcare slots or to obtain a detailed view of the childcare services on offer. However, you can find out about the childcare services on offer at any time by visiting a facility in person.

2. Data security

Your personal data will be transmitted over the internet using SSL encryption (AES-256, 256-bit certificate) providing you use the online service. You can distinguish the secure transfer by the protocol designation "https" in the URL.
